The Idea

It all started with a special needs child name Natalie. Although the orphanage had been taking care of her for years, she was getting to be more than the orphanage staff could handle and they needed to search for a better option for Natalie. Months passed and although they had checked out tons of places, there was no where that they could see taking quality care of who was the same as a daughter. Eventually, they found a place 8 hours away that was perfect, and within days Natalie was there going to school and getting the kind of care that would put many places in the US to shame.

My vision is that the orphanage never should have spent all that time to find a place that was way too far away. Rather, they can now come to Haiti Pages, search for special needs facilities and find them in the click of a mouse. Not only that but they should be able to pick from who is the closest and who has the highest quality of care. Of course this is just one many ways Haiti Pages can be used to change lives, but I believe if we begin to network and work together, more kids like Natalie can get the care they need and deserve. Not only that, but that orphanage that eats once a day, will finally be adequately nourished through the giving of a ministry that has a little extra.

So the idea is this: day by day I will register new organizations to haitipages.org and each organization will receive a short profile describing itself, (location, history, mission, contact info, etc...). It will include orphanages, hospitals, schools, aid groups, and anything of the like. As Haiti Pages grows so will its impact on the people of Haiti. Now, instead of an underfunded orphanage eating once a day, they will have a connection with a food distributor so that they can properly care for their kids. Instead of a hospital never having the right tools, a medical group can send a container so that people can finally receive the care they need and deserve. Last but not least, that school that never had enough materials can get connected with another organization looking to donate to someone in need.

All of this is purely a tool to reach people more effectively for Christ. Anything done through Haiti Pages will be clearly explained that because Christ loved us first we now can love those around us. The goal of Haiti Pages is that we can show people how to live beyond ourselves, through the example we have in Christ. Haiti Pages entire design is to empower other people to do their job more effectively and efficiently.
